Positive Black Men Coalition
Stanley G. Richards
Stan Richards founded the Positive Black Men
Coalition (PBMC) in 1992. Mr. Richards,
a native Washingtonian and 1981 graduate
of Cardozo High School started PBMC to help
promote and provide upscale entertainment
for the Metropolitan area. He has always
strived to make a difference in his community
and to make a difference in the life of
youth. He serves as a mentor to many of
the young men in his family, as well as
other young men in the community. Black
Enterprise Magazine did a feature story
on Mr. Richards and his endeavors in the
February 1999 edition. In addition to being
PBMC President, Mr. Richards works for the
Washington Metro Transit Authority where
he's been employed for over 13 years. He
currently resides in Maryland with his beautiful
wife Chereace and their son, Stan Jr.
Vernon M. Bowlding, Jr.
Vernon M. Bowlding, Jr started promoting in 1988
as Squsie Production before joining Positive
Black Men Coalition(PBMC) in 1995. Mr. Bowlding
a native Washingtonian and 1982 graduate
of Theodore Roosevelt High School have strived
to make PBMC a more positive and successful
organization. He is the role model of kids
and adults in and outside of his family.
He strives to make everyone's life a positive
one. In addition to being PBMC Vice President,
Mr. Bowlding works for the Department of
Defense where he's been employed for over
18 years.
Robert D. Walker, Jr.
Robert D. Walker, Jr. was first introduced to the
Positive Black Men Coalition (PBMC) in 1995
and joined in 1999. Mr. Walker is a native
Washingtonian and a 1982 graduate of Paul
L. Dunbar High School. He has strived to
bring his talent and expertise to the group
to make the PBMC a more positive and successful
organization. He thinks of himself as a
positive role model to kids, adults and
family members alike and is always preaching
to others to do the right things in life
verses the wrong thing. In addition to being
a member of the PBMC family, Mr. Walker
is a full time soldier in the Army stationed
in the Washington, DC area, where he has
been serving faithfully for 19 years.
Tim V. Richards
Tim Richards joined the Positive Black Men Coalition
(PBMC) in 1992. Mr. Richards, a native Washingtonian
has always been involved with the group,
but as a "behind the scenes" partner.
He has recently taken on a more active role
by becoming more involved with the more
routine activities of the group. As Stan's
little brother and partner, he plays a major
role in helping to promote upscale entertainment
for the Metropolitan area. Tim has been
in the hospitality industry for most of
his career, so he is a true asset to the
group. He's been employed with Hyatt for
over fifteen years. This year, Mr. Richards
received the Arlington County Super Star
Award, and has received the Rising Star
Award for two consecutive years. Mr. Richards
currently resides in P.G. County Maryland.
